Lost English Vocabulary and Expressions.

Weird Thoughts

It would seem that as generations change so does our vocabulary.

Here are some words I remember as a child that have disappeared from our everyday conversations.

Brassiere, Basin, Bellboy, Footstool, Jukebox, Nylons, Record Player, Steward, Stewardess, Stockings, Swish Broom, Telephone, Washboard, and Girdle.

These are expressions:  Whatchamacallit, Thingamabob, My Guy, Can You Dig It, Thingamajig, Morlocky, Alphabet telephone exchange (AU1-5611)

I'm sure there are a lot more.  If you can remember any please leave them in your comments.
