Is it so that for every good there is bad, and for every wrong there is right?

This story is about a battle of wits waged among two men along with a test of will/strength for one woman.  It encompasses a man, his wife, and a prestigious outsider.  One red, one black, one white.  Set in the mid-1900's southeastern regions.  It is affectionately sprinkled with southern customs accompanied by glances of hope, overshadowed with deadly sins, and last entwined by adultery, rape, deceit, pretension, secrets, distortion, extortion, even murder all contrived under an air of mystery.

*This is the first of a Trilogy followed by a series.
